RAVELLERS who enjoy glamorous getaways will fall in love with Murphy’s Creek Hideaway’s “glamping-style” luxurious safari tents.
“Glamping” combines the rustic joy of camping with a dash of home comforts. Murphy’s Creek Hideaway has done just that with its luxurious offering.
Heading into the cooler months, glamorous camping is the perfect weekend getaway for couples.
Murphy’s Creek Escape is a picturesque 50-acre camping park offering powered, remote and bushland camping on large sites within a natural bush setting.
The luxury hideaway accommodates couples only in its safari tents high on a sandstone ridge.
It is being described as “glamping” at its best.
Each tent has a king-size bed fitted with an electric blanket, private ensuite with a claw-foot bath, luxury linen and fluffy bath robes, day bed, a barbecue, fridge and cooking utensils, a private fire pit, breathtaking views and rejuvenating natural surrounds.
BATH TIME: Relax in a claw-foot bath in the safari tents.
Owner Lisa Souter said the tents had been purposely built for couples.
“I don’t think many people know we offer this type of camping,” she said.
“It is a camping experience with a touch of luxury.
“The safari tents sit just above the creek line and the area has a phenomenal peaceful feeling.
“We are entering our busy period now and people love to stay during the colder months because a heater and electric blanket keeps them toasty warm at night.”
Guests can take their time to explore the area, hike into the White Mountain National Park, take a dip in the new inland sandy beach, barbecue or picnic along creek and rock pools.
They can also cook a damper and spin a yarn around an open camp fire, or simply enjoy a drink on the banks of Murphy’s Creek.
Murphy’s Creek Hideaway has spaces available for the Easter weekend, which is the perfect way for couples to spend the holiday.
